Metal Cube

As a part of my Metal II class, I built this cube using various different metal working techniques including cutting, welding and precision bending. The internal structure defines a meta-space in the form of a negative cube, creating a self-referential interplay between the inner and outer geometries. The planar construction of the steel outer shell is contrasted with the linear use of warmer-toned copper in the interior.
